| Granville Taylor worked as a stage assistant to Murray, the Australian illusionist and escapologist, in 1951, and with The Great Lyle in 1953 before starting out on his own with "The Devil's Bar" act on Moss Empire theatres in the U.K. Also on two summer seasons in Jersey, and in nightclubs in Paris and Nice. He built up a big illusion show with exclusive illusions previously owned by David Devant, De Biere, Murray, The Great Lyle, Chris Charlton, Cingalee, and Ali Bey, including Amac's giant Three Card Illusion "Find the Lady". Faust toured Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and Indonesia in 1968 with an Arabian Nights Magic Show, followed by seven tours of Japan over a 20 year period with his own big illusion show employing 23 dancers/assistants. Granville Taylor has an attic workshop where he makes magic tricks for his own use and for other magicians, which he sells as Taylor-Made Magic. |
